Coercion, July 16

Edward Rd., Bunker Hill, CCSO release – On July 13, 2019, at approximately 7:42 PM, A Coos County Sheriff’s Deputy was advised of an active dispute taking place between family members on Edward Road in Coos Bay. It was reported a man was intoxicated and assaulting another man. It was also reported neighbors were beginning to get involved. When the Deputy arrived, he saw a man standing outside with blood on his face and a ripped shirt. The Deputy saw multiple other people all pointing to the man who was bleeding with the ripped shirt. All the bystanders alerted to the Deputy that the man he was speaking to was the attacker. The man was detained in order to conduct an investigation. Subsequently, after speak to all parties involved, it was determined the man who was already detained, identified as 49 year old Jonathan W. Bock, was the primary aggressor in the altercation which caused injury to another. Jonathan W. Bock declined medical treatment from Bay Cities Ambulance who also responded to the assault. Jonathan W. Bock was arrested and transported to the Coos County Jail without further incident.
