The controversy surrounding the leadership of the Coos Bay School District continues. During a “Special” Board meeting called Friday, May 29, members voted unanimously to send complaints about Superintendent Dawn Granger from the Coos Bay Education Association to a neutral third party investigator. The School Board originally received 64 complaints, but not all of those who submitted complaints followed the District’s complaint process which started with a sit down with Granger and Board Chair Jill Christiana. Informal hearings regarding the remaining complaints are reportedly being scheduled by the District.
