ATV Accident
News release from the Coos Co. Sheriff’s Office. On 08-10-14 at about 1716 hours, Coos County Sheriff’s Deputies and Hauser Fire and Rescue responded to the Hauser Beach area of the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area for an ATV crash. When personnel arrived they located 43 year old Lisa Gale Lindsley of North Bend. Mrs. Lindsley rolled her ATV while riding down the beach. Mrs. Lindsley was transported to Bay Area Hospital by Bay Cities Ambulance for a possible head injury.
ATV Accident
News release from the Coos Co. Sheriff’s Office. On 08-10-14 at about 1934 hours, Coos County Sheriff’s Deputies, along with Lakeside Fire Department, Coos Forest Patrol and Lower Umpqua Ambulance responded to an ATV crash near Sun lake Lane on North Lake Road, Lakeside, Oregon. As the result of the investigation it was learned that two juvenile females were riding an ATV down the gravel portion of North Lake Road when they lost control and went over a steep embankment. Both juveniles were thrown from the ATV and landed about 30 to 50 feet down the embankment. Both Juveniles were transported to Bay Area Hospital where they were treated for their injuries.
Libby Lane Accident
News release from the Coos Co. Sheriff’s Office. On 08-12-14 at about 0255 hours, Coos County Sheriff’s Deputies along with Charleston Fire Department and Bay Cities Ambulance responded to a roll over crash near mile post 2.5 on Libby Lane, Coos Bay. The driver of the vehicle was identified as 22 year old Mark Socia of Coos Bay and his passenger was identified as 20 year old Madison Stuermer also of Coos Bay. Ms. Stuermer was transported to Bay Area Hospital where she was treated for her injuries. Mr. Socia was not injured. The investigation showed that Mr. Socia crashed his 1989 Honda Accord as a resulted of wet slippery road surface. No citations were issued.
