Marshfield finished seventh at the 4A District 4 Wrestling Championships Saturday at Cottage Grove High School. Mazama, of Klamath Falls, won the District Title, with Hidden Valley of Grants Pass second. Freshman Jonathan Calvert finished 4th at 126 lbs. Senior Peyton Forbes took 1st at 145 lbs. Senior Tandy Martin was second at 160 lbs. Martin lost to Michael Walker, Phoenix, by a decision 12-7 in the finals. Senior Josh Hinds placed third at 170 lbs. Freshman Logan Griffin lost both of his matches at 195 lbs. State wrestling championships are Friday and Saturday at Veteran’s Memorial Coliseum in Portland.
