North Bend’s girls were sixth, and the Bulldog boys fourth at the OSAA 5A State Swim Championships at the Tualatin Swim & Tennis Club in Beaverton Saturday. Crescent Valley of Corvallis won the girls crown, and Churchill of Eugene took the boys. Individually for NBHS: The team of Natalie Cheal, Makenna Roberts, Bella Jones & Rebecca Witharm took fourth (1:54.12) in the 200 Free Relay; The team of Mavrick Macalino, Craig Hoefs, Tucker Wood & Adam Wood took first (1:40.33) in the 200 Free Relay; junior Bella Jones was second (2:00.16) in the 200 Free; junior Natalie Cheal was fifth (2:16.37) 200 IM; senior Craig Hoefs was sixth (2:10.95) in the 200 IM; sophomore Mavrick Macalin tied for fourth (22.12) in the 50 Free; Macalin was third (52.42) in the 100 Butterfly; junior Makenna Roberts was fifth (5:35.01) in the 500 Free; the team of Roberts, Witharm, Cheal, & Jones was third (3:44.67) in the 400 Free Relay; and, the team of Wood, Zachary Holt, Macalino & Hoefs was fourth (3:20.73) in the 400 Free Relay.
