News release from the Lincoln Co. Sheriff’s Office. On August 13th, 2015 at approximately 7:05pm Lincoln County Sheriff’s Senior Deputy R. Ballentine was dispatched to 3911 E. Alsea Highway, Waldport, Oregon regading the report of a Domestic Disturbance at the location. The subsequent investigation revealed the adult male suspect, 42 year old Waldport resident John L. Hulsey, in the course of the domestic dispute grabbed the victim, his adult girlfriend, by the throat choking her in the process. The minor child of John L. Hulsey and the victim was present in the residence although was not witness to the assault. John L. Hulsey was taken into custody on the charges of Assault IV (Domestic) and Stangulation, he was subsequently lodged in the Lincoln County Jail. His bail was set at $30,000.
