Meth Bust
News release from the Coos Co. Sheriff’s Office. On August 12, 2015, at about 0800 hours, Deputies responded to the 60000 block of Seven Devils Road in Bandon in response to a report of Criminal Trespass being perpetrated by Jesse Geer, 54 years old, a transient in the Bandon area. This investigation had begun in June with reports of him trespassing on the property. Deputies had previously been to the area to inform and warn Jesse Geer of trespass on two separate occasions. Geer was arrested for Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree. When Mr. Geer was searched incident to his arrest more than personal use quantity of suspected methamphetamine was located upon his person. Geer was arrested for Criminal Trespass II and Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine and transported to the Coos County Jail. He was then released by jail staff on his own recognizance.

Burglary
News release from the Coos Co. Sheriff’s Office. On August 12, 2015, at 1205 hours, Coos County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the 63000 block of Terramar, in Charleston regarding a report of a home owner who had two burglars at gun point. When Deputies arrived on scene they learned that the home owner had fired one shot into the ground in a safe manner and direction to keep the suspects at the scene until the deputies could arrive. Both suspects were sitting on the ground when the deputies arrived. During the course of the investigation of the scene and interviews with involved persons it was determined that a home and several out buildings had been entered unlawfully. Christopher Hernandez (age 34) and Stevan Alexander (Age 31), both of Bandon were arrested. A vehicle associated with the suspects was located nearby registered to Mr. Hernandez. This vehicle was seized pursuant to applying for a search warrant. The Sheriff’s Office is also investigating two other early morning incidents. At this time the investigation is ongoing into whether the three incidents are connected. The Coos County Sheriff’s Office had received a report at about 3AM on Sand Dollar in Charleston. A home owner had heard his dog yapping and discovered someone attempting to break into their home. The resident went outside to investigate and located two males. A struggle ensued which left the resident unconscious after being struck in the head. He was later treated for injuries at Bay Area Hospital. The suspects were reported fleeing from the area with one carrying the other. A second incident happened a short time later where a residence was entered on Moana Drive off of the gravel portion of Seven Devils Road out of Charleston. The power was cut by the suspects prior to entry. This home was entered by the suspects while the occupants were asleep. The residents were awakened by the burglars. The residents, two adults and two year old child and hid in a closet. When they began to yell the suspects fled the area. The home had been entered about ten days prior and a set of keys had been taken. Both Hernandez and Alexander were transported to the Coos County Jail and charged with Burglary in the 1st Degree (2 counts), Burglary in the 2nd Degree, Possession of Burglary Tools, Criminal Trespass in the 2nd Degree and Criminal Mischief in the 3rd Degree, Attempted Burglary in the 1st Degree, Assault in the 2nd Degree, Robbery in the 1st Degree and Conspiracy to Commit Burglary in the 1st Degree (3 counts). Additionally a probation detainer was issued on Hernandez. Bail was set at $1,010,000.00 each on the above charges and they are being held in custody. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted in these three calls by the Bandon Police Department, Coos Bay Police Department and the Coquille Tribal Police Department.
