On January 23rd, 2014 at 1:14 am, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a report of a domestic disturbance in the 1200 block of SW Fairway Drive in Waldport. During the investigation deputies learned that Ian Deenihan, 27, of Waldport had pushed down his live-in girlfriend and then threatened her with a cordless drill. Deputies located Deenihan near Port Dock Seven in Newport around 12:00 pm. He was taken into custody and lodged at the Lincoln County Jail on one count of Menacing. Deputies returned to Deenihan’s residence around 4:00 pm to conduct a follow up investigation. During this time deputies located more than 17 pounds of marijuana along with a scale, packaging and cultivation supplies in an upstairs storage closet. Deenihan, who was still in custody at the Lincoln County Jail was also charged with unlawful manufacture of marijuana; unlawful delivery of marijuana and unlawful possession of marijuana. His total bail was set at $350,000.
