On October 16, 2015 at about 10PM a passerby located a single vehicle crash at milepost 1.5 on Lakeshore Drive in Selma. Illinois Valley Fire and OSP responded to the scene of the crash. Preliminary information indicates that the 2006 Chevy Cobalt was traveling westbound on Lakeshore Drive when for an unknown reason the driver lost control of the vehicle. The Chevy Cobalt left the roadway on eastbound side of the road, rolling and striking a tree. The driver of the Chevy, James D OGRADY II, age 21, of Selma, was pronounced deceased at the scene by emergency crews. The passenger, Aaron J OGRADY, age 25, of Cave Junction was also pronounced deceased at the scene. James and Aaron OGRADY were brothers. Lakeshore Drive was closed for several hours while the investigation was being conducted. This is an ongoing investigation and more information will be released when it becomes available.
