On Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at approximately 11:48 P.M., Oregon State Police Troopers and emergency personnel responded to a single vehicle crash on Hwy 126E near milepost 17. Preliminary investigation revealed a Ford Escort was westbound when it left the roadway and struck a power pole. The operator was transported to Riverbend Hospital where she was pronounced deceased. The name of the operator will be released when appropriate. Update: The operator is being identified as Staci Jackson (56) of Eugene.
