On Saturday, September 8, 2018 at approximately 1:50 PM, Oregon State Police Troopers and emergency personnel responded to the report of a single vehicle crash on Hwy 26 near mile post 200. Investigation revealed that a 2015 Ford F-150, operated by Gordon WAITE (39) of Medford, was traveling eastbound when he failed to negotiate a curve. The vehicle rolled down and embankment, striking several trees before coming to rest. WAITE sustained fatal injuries in the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
