On Saturday, August 5, 2017 at approximately 6:35AM, OSP responded to a report of a two vehicle head on collision on Marcola Road near MP 4, in Lane County. Preliminary investigation revealed that a 2011 Chrysler van was westbound when for unknown reasons, an eastbound 1995 Ford Ranger pickup crossed the center line and crashed head on into the Chrysler. The sole occupant of the Chrysler was identified as, 43 year old Todd Elkanah KENADY from Turner. KENADY was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver and sole occupant of the Ford Ranger was transported to RiverBend Hospital with life-threatening injuries. His current condition is not known. The investigation is ongoing and additional information will be released when available. The roadway was closed completely for approximately 5 hours before being reopened.
