News release CCSO. On December 29, 2016 at 1203 hours the Coos County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a call regarding a fatal logging accident on Bureau of Land Management (BLM) timber lands located off of Woodward Creek Road at or near mile post 9.5 Fairview Route, Coquille, Oregon. At the site a commercial logging contractor was in the process of thinning BLM timber lands. At the scene Deputies located an employee of the operation a Levi G. Gallo-Camacho 18 years of age of Coos Bay. Mr. Gallo-Camacho had been struck by a log being pulled by a log yarder. It was determined Mr. Gallo-Camacho was deceased. The investigation is continuing with the assistance of the Coos County Medical examiner.
