On Wednesday, September 26, 2018, at approximately 12:40 p.m. Oregon State Troopers and emergency personnel responded to milepost 27.5 on Highway 207 for a collision between a motorcycle and a semi-truck. Preliminary investigation revealed that an 1987 Harley-Davidson Heritage, operated by Gregory Vibbert (26) of Redmond, was traveling southbound as a 2001 Peterbilt semi-truck and trailer driven by David Belyea (63) of Hermiston, was traveling northbound. Vibbert lost control of the motorcycle and laid the motorcycle on its side. The two vehicles collided near the centerline on a curve. Vibbert sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased.
