The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) voted Thursday, March 19, to approve the Jordan Cove Energy Project for Coos Bay’s North Spit. The decision was met with sharp criticism from Oregon Governor Kate Brown. While the federal approval has been achieved, officials with the proposed liquified natural gas (LNG) export terminal still have to achieve state permits.
