News Alert from Port Orford/Langlois Sch. Dist.: Late start schedule due to Highway 101 closure. (Effective Tue Feb 9th) “Highway 101 currently closed to due to fire. Will not reopen until bridge inspected by ODOT.” ODOT: SW Oregon: U.S. 101 is closed three miles south of Langlois (16 miles south of Bandon) on the Willow Creek Bridge due to a semi truck fire. The initial report is the semi was carrying jet fuel. There is no detour at this location. ODOT expected the highway to remain closed for several hours. Once the fire was extinguished, ODOT engineers have been conducting a thorough inspection of the bridge’s condition before reopening U.S. 101.
