City of Coos Bay release – UPDATE: On 08/28/20, Cardinal Services graciously offered to up the total reward from $1000 to $10,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible. Over the past couple months, the City of Coos Bay has had a large number of intentional fires being set in the Empire area. These fires have been in vacant homes, vehicles, trash receptacles, and vegetation. Intentionally starting fires is a serious crime that causes destruction of property and puts lives at risk. In an effort to put an end to this reckless behavior, the City had originally offered a $1,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible. The City of Coos Bay and the Coos Bay Police Department would like to thank Cardinal Services for their gracious offer and their commitment to the City and citizens of Coos Bay!
