North Bend beat Marshfield 16-6 at Coos Head Field in Coos Bay Wednesday in a Far West League softball game. Also, South Umpqua downed visiting Douglas 11-0 and Siuslaw downed visiting Brookings-Harbor 13-12. Heading into Friday’s doubleheaders, Marshfield, South Umpqua and Brookings-Harbor are all tied at 3-1, while North Bend is one back at 2-2. Siuslaw improves to 1-3 and Douglas is 0-4. Marshfield plays at North Bend Friday 1 & 3 p.m.
