On Tuesday, Nov. 10, a Coos Co. Grand Jury returned an indictment against the man accused of murdering another Nov. 4 in Coos Bay. According to a news release from District Attorney R. Paul Frasier, 27-year old Kyle Sun Ray was indicted on seven crimes: Murder; Felon in Possession of a Firearm; Felon in Possession of a Firearm; Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Burglary in the First Degree; Felon in Possession of Body Armor; and, Unlawful Possession of a Short Barreled Rifle. He is accused of killing 54-year old David Marion Smith. Ray will be arraigned in Circuit Court Thursday morning, Nov. 12, 8:30 a.m.
