The body of a 69-year old North Bend male was found Thursday, Aug. 29, about 5 p.m., by a couple hiking a trail west of Cessna Court in North Bend. According to a news release from the North Bend Police Dept., emergency personnel responded and recovered the body of Kim Simpson-Griffin who had been reported missing by his faminly on August 23. According to Police Chief Robert Kappelman, “The cause of death has been determined to be exposure and hypothermia. No evidence of foul play is present.” His family was notified. Griffin is a descendant of the founder of North Bend Louis J. Simpson. An avid tennis player, Griffin had also donated his time to help coach youth in the area.
