On Friday, August 30, 2019 at approximately 12:10 P.M. Oregon State Police and emergency personnel responded to the report of a vehicle crash on Hwy 26 near milepost 41. Preliminary investigation revealed a maroon Toyota Yaris, operated by Ken Duong (48) of Beaverton, was eastbound when for unknown reasons the vehicle left the roadway and struck the tunnel. Duong sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Hwy 26 was closed for approximately 3 hours.
