On Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at approximately 4:11 A.M., an officer from the Salem Police Department came upon a male lying on the shoulder of the Interstate 5 northbound onramp from Market St. It was determined the male pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle. He was taken to the hospital and is being treated for serious injuries. Oregon State Police responded to investigate. The vehicle that struck the pedestrian did not stay at the scene or provide medical assistance to the injured pedestrian. Oregon State Police is looking for a 2008 – 2011 royal/metallic blue Ford Fusion. The Fusion should have damage to the right front bumper and the passenger side mirror.
