On June 28, 2017, Marshall MCKENNA, Carroll BALLARD and Blake SIBLEY entered plea agreements for Murder and Robbery 1 related to the death of Robert L. HUNTINGTON in Josephine County. Marshall MCKENNA plead to murder with a firearm, was sentenced to true life with a possibility of parole after 25 years, and life time post prison supervision on one count of Murder with a Firearm. Carroll (BJ) BALLARD plead to Manslaughter in the First Degree and Robbery in the First Degree, and received a total of 15 years prison (sentenced on 4/21/16) & agreed to be a testifier against Marshall McKenna. Blake SIBLEY plead to Manslaughter in the First Degree and Robbery in the First Degree, and received a total of 10 years prison (sentenced on 3/17/16) & agreed to be a testifier against Marshall McKenna & Carroll (BJ) Ballard. ***UPDATE #2 – FUGITIVE ARRESTED IN HOMICIDE*** JOSEPHINE COUNTY MAJOR CRIME TEAM INVESTIGATING HOMICIDE – News Release from Oregon State Police:  On April 2, 2016, Marshall William MCKENNA, age 24, from Ponder, Texas, was taken into custody early this morning with the joint efforts of the US Marshals Service – Pacific Northwest Violent Offender Task Force, US Marshals Service – Joint East Texas Fugitive Task Force and the Denton County Sheriff’s Office. MCKENNA was lodged in the Webb County Jail in Laredo, Texas ending the five month fugitive manhunt. This is an active investigation; no further information will be released at this time.
