News release City of North Bend. July 14 thru 16th, 2017 – Come to North Bend July 14th, 15th & 16th, and “Live, Laugh, Celebrate” during the July Jubilee! Enjoy a week-end full of fun during the many family free activities! There will be a parade with dancing horses, the 4th annual 5K Jaunt, Show N Shine, Car Cruise, free swimming, bowling, fishing, lunch with the Princesses, and birthday cake at the Liberty Theatre! Don’t miss the “Community Picnic in the Round” at Grant Circle. There will be live music, Jump for Fun Slide, Buttons the Clown and face painting, Friday from 11am – Noon children may enjoy a free lunch with the Princesses at the North Bend Library. The Princesses will be reading from a wonderful selection of stories while children enjoy their lunch. During that time the library will include a fun event with free balloon hats, swords and glitter tattoos. At five o’clock Sip and Stroll through Downtown North Bend with a fun and festive wine tasting tour sponsored by LTOB starting at Engles Furniture. Make a donation of $10 and receive a Sip-n-Stroll glass and program with all proceeds going to Hospice. The Sip-n-Stroll ends at the Liberty Theatre at &7:00 p.m. just in time for the Honored Citizens Awards Reception and the traditional “Cutting of the Birthday Cake”! Enjoy free cake and live theatre as Little Theatre on the Bay entertains you! Saturday the July Jubilee 5K Jaunt starts at the Boardwalk. Walkers start at 9 a.m. and runners start at 9:45 a.m. Pre-register or register at 8:00 a.m. for $10 and receive a t-shirt… walkers need not register and may enjoy the jaunt for free! If you get there early you can watch the Princesses arrive in the North Bend Fire Boat. Celebrate at Grant Circle Community picnic with free hotdogs, ice cream and cake! Listen to the Lab Band while the kids enjoy free crafts, games, face painting, Dancing Horses and Buttons the Clown. Don’t miss the other Saturday events All Car Show & Shine, Car Cruise, Disc Golf Tournament, and Parade. All are accepting new registrations at the event! Enjoy Little Theatre on the Bay, “Country – Rock ‘N Roll 50’s “If you miss the show on Saturday you can still catch it on Sunday afternoon at 2pm! Sunday, delight in a walk starting at the Boardwalk! The Historical Walk of Downtown North Bend begins at 10am ….no registration, no fees, just a pleasant time! Enjoy a free Sunday Swim at the North Bend Swimming Pool from 1-3pm.
