The Oregon State Police is continuing its investigation into Thursday evening’s double fatal crash in Harney County. Just after 8PM on September 24, 2015, OSP received report of a westbound reckless vehicle driving at a high rate of speed with no headlights on Highway 20. Minutes later OSP was advised the vehicle had just crashed near milepost 114 (15 miles west of Burns). OSP Troopers and emergency personnel arrived on scene to discover a single vehicle had rolled multiple times killing both occupants. Preliminary information indicates a 2001 Chevy Tahoe left the roadway for unknown reasons. The Chevy rolled multiple times and ejected the occupants. Caleb E LYNN, age 22, and Danielle SHEA, age 42 (both of Eagle, ID) were deceased upon emergency crews arriving on scene. It is not clear at the time of this release who the driver of the vehicle was. It is believed there were no safety belts in use at the time of crash and alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor. The investigation is continuing.
