Hwy. Worker Struck by Vehicle Update, Nov. 23

On November 19th, 2015 at 7:00 p.m., a northbound 1996 Chevrolet Blazer, operated by Dallas James CHRISMAN, age 23, from Sheridan, sideswiped a Ford Ranger, operated by Cody Tyler HALVERSON, age 19, from McMinnville, and passenger, Stephanie Renee JACKS, age 18, from Dayton. The Ford was stopped at road construction in the northbound lane of HWY 99W at milepost 47. After impact, the Chevrolet rolled on its side and struck a highway worker, Aldo Ray JOHN, age 56, from Marion, who was flagging the construction zone. JOHN was transported by helicopter with serious injuries and CHRISMAN was transported by ambulance with non-life threatening injuries. HALVERSON and JACKS reported no injuries at the crash scene and all vehicle occupants were using safety restraints. The highway was completely blocked for several hours and the investigation is ongoing.
