Interstate 5 motorists should watch for lane closures and a speed limit reduction the next two weeks in north Douglas County. Starting on Tuesday, April 3, I-5 traffic will be limited to one lane in each direction near the I-5 Cox Road overpass at milepost 156. Traffic lanes will be shifted around the 2,000-foot work zone and the speed limit will be reduced to 55 mph. Motorists should watch for construction equipment, workers and signage. All work is scheduled to be completed by Friday, April 13, weather permitting. The concrete repairs are the final work item for the I-5 Anlauf to Elkhead Road Paving project, which replaced eight miles of asphalt with concrete between milepost 154 and milepost 162. Most construction was completed last year.
