City of Coos Bay release. In conjunction with the Wastewater Treatment Plant No. 2 construction project there is a conveyance pipe that is being installed. This pipeline is utilizing directional drilling (trenchless) technology. This method helps avoid damage to the roads and utilities and minimizes the impacts to residents and businesses along the pipe route. Over the next two (2) weeks the contractor will have traffic control measures in place on Ocean Blvd. Please exercise caution around these work zones.
