News release from CCSO. On 11-13-16 at approximately 1304 hours, Coos County Sheriff’s Deputies, Charleston Fire Dept., and Bay Cities Ambulance responded to the wooded area off of the north end of Salal Lane near Charleston, regarding the report of an injured bow hunter. It was reported that a bow hunter had injured himself when he fell on an arrow while hunting. Sean Hubler, 33 YOA of Coos Bay was located by Sheriff’s Deputies after a brief search when they first arrived on scene. Mr. Hubler’s condition was stabilized at the scene by EMS and was later transported to Bay Area Hospital for treatment of a puncture wound to his thigh.
