On Wednesday, August 02, 2017, at 7:40 pm, the Douglas County 9-1-1 center received a report of an injury motor vehicle crash on Buckhorn Road near Little Pheasant in Roseburg. Deputies determined the involved 2006 Mazda sedan was being operated by 26 year old Ryan Dickenson of Roseburg. The vehicle was traveling on Buckhorn Road when it left the roadway and rolled several times before coming to rest in a field. Both Dickenson and his 20 year-old passenger, Alexis Campbell of Roseburg, were transported to Mercy Medical Center by ground ambulance. Dickenson was later transferred to a Portland area hospital by air ambulance. At this time speed appears to be a contributing factor.
