FORE! For Our Children! Coos Bay Kiwanis Club announces its 4th “Annual Golf Scramble” to be held at Bandon Crossings on Saturday, June 21st at 9:00 a.m. The club is looking for” hole sponsors” and raffle donations, as well as teams to participate in the event. Sponsoring organizations will have their business name and logo posted on large placards along the greens and tees. A contribution of $125 is a great way to advertise AND support a worthy cause. Raffles will be held for various prizes, and Coos Bay Toyota has donated a new pickup for the first “hole in one” on Hole #6. Individuals and teams are invited to play. Registration for 4-person team is $320. Individuals can register for $80 and will be placed on a team. Carts, practice balls, and a box lunch are included with the registration to play this great 18-hole course. Funds from the tournament will be used to support local Kiwanis Projects. These projects include an annual shoe giveaway for underprivileged kids, scholarships for local high school graduates, Marshfield Key Club, Grandma’s Closet – providing clothing, shoes & school supplies for needy kids, projects that benefit the Children’s Cancer Program at Doernbecher Children’s Hospital, .and other events that benefit youth in our community.
