Meth Bust in North Bend, June 1

News release SCINT.  On 5-25-2017 SCINT Detectives and assisting officers executed a search warrant at 863 Montana Street in North Bend, OR.  Upon arrival, 5 persons were detained without incident. 863 Montana Street is the home of Robert, Vicki and Brian Burell.   The Burells along with Oscar Caudillo and Jose Cervantes were arrested and transported to the Coos County Jail for Delivery of Methamphetamine after detectives located approximately 10 pounds of Methamphetamine inside the residence. Detectives also seized $46,700.00 during the search.   Multiple firearms, body armor, scales, packaging material and smoking devices were also seized at the residence. Detectives also executed two search warrants on Storage units in Coos Bay where detectives seized 13 firearms, a generator and ammunition. One rifle and the generator were determined to be stolen. The seizure was the largest in the history of SCINT. The methamphetamine had a street value of $271,000.00 and represented about 25,000 individual doses. This investigation and two others bring a total of more than 25 pounds of Meth seized by Coos County law enforcement agencies in the last 5 months. SCINT was assisted by the Coos Bay Police Department, Coos County Sheriff’s Office, North Bend Police Department, Coquille Tribal Police Department, and the Oregon State Police.
