Marshfield sprinters led the way for the Pirates at the Junction City Invitational Track Meet Friday. Trent Summers, Jonathan Parks, Aaron Hutchins and Sam Grayson combined to win the 400R in 46.70. Grayson also won the 100 in 12.0, while Hutchins took the 200 in 24.60. Grayson also won the High Jump at 5-10. Freshman Roxy Day led a one-two sweep of the girl’s Pole Vault winning at 9-0, while senior Raegan Rhodes cleared 8-0. The Pirates also took the boy’s Pole Vault with sophomore Trent Summers first at 14-0, followed by Jack Waddington at 13-0, Jonathan Parks 13-0 and Danner Wilson 11-06. Parks also won the Long Jump at 19-01.50. Marshfield’s boys won the Invitational, while the Pirate girls were second to Philomath. The Pirates next meet is Tuesday at Elmira.
