News release CCSO. On 05-21-17 at about 5:30pm, the Coos County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call from the lost person, Pandora Yeung, age 49 from Vancouver, British Columbia. She had gotten separated from her group when they hiked out into the sand from John Dellenback trail head near Lakeside. Yeung advised that she got disoriented and started to panic because she didn’t know which direction to go, so she called 911. Yeung was reasonably well prepared with a day pack that contained water, food, emergency blanket, head lamp and whistle. Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and the Coos County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area. Douglas County located Yeung at about 7:30pm, transferred her to a Coos County Off-road Deputy and transported her back to her group that was camped at Tugman State Park.
