News release Coos Co. Sheriff’s Office. Narrative: On 3/23/16 at approximately 1700 hours, Deputies of the Coos County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a lost person at Lighthouse Lookout and Norton Gulch Trail, Coos Bay, Coos County Oregon. The Coos County Sheriff’s Office coordinated elements of the Oregon State Police and the U.S. Coast Guard in the search effort lasting five hours. U.S. Coast Guard air assets were able to locate the victim, 30 year old Jennifer Marie Annastasiou of Bandon, near Sunset Golf Course, and directed law enforcement officers to her location. Jennifer had driven to Lighthouse Lookout at around 1700 hours with plans to hike the Norton Gulch Trail. Jennifer was located safe and uninjured at approximately 2120 hours and returned to her vehicle.
