On Monday, July 22, 2019, at approximately 7:30 P.M. Oregon State Police Troopers and emergency personnel responded to the report of a motorcycle crash on Hwy 207, near mile post 18, north of Mitchell, Oregon. Preliminary investigation revealed that a black 2017 Harley Davidson motorcycle, operated by Christopher Jones (48) of Madras, was northbound on Hwy 207 when for unknown reasons the motorcycle left the roadway, on a corner, and crashed. Jones sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
