A changing of the contractors was underway this week at the former Harding Building site on the campus of Marshfield High School in Coos Bay. Staton Construction of Eugene finished the demolition of the two-story building and the removal of debris from the site. Project managers, engineers, utility companies and more dump trucks were on the site Wednesday morning, April 15, to begin “site preparation” leading to a new building that will actually sit further west than the former structure. The project is part of the voter approved bond levy for the Coos Bay School District. Construction is also continuing on the new Eastside Elementary School.
