NB Street Closure, August 3

News release from the City of North Bend. The Coos Bay – North Bend Water Board will begin construction of a new water main on Union Avenue at Grant Circle during the week of August 3, 2015. The anticipated completion date for the project is August 28, 2015. Union Avenue between Virginia and California Avenue will be closed to northbound traffic during the project. California Avenue between Sherman Avenue and Union Avenue will also be closed to through traffic during the project. Local access on Union Avenue and California Avenues will be maintained with minor delays. Residents with special needs may contact the crew leader on-site or call the Water Board office at (541) 267-3128. The project will replace a 70-year-old 6-inch diameter water main. The crew plans to work during the week between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Customers within the work area will experience short water outages near the end of the project. The outages will happen when the Water Board crew connects the new water main to the system and transfers service connections to the new main. The duration of the outage will be one to three hours, and customers will be notified prior to the outage. Thank you for your cooperation.
