News release from the Coos Co. Sheriff’s Office. Narrative: On March 16, 2016, at about 2123 hours, Coos County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to mile post 4 on North Bay Road for a reported vehicle accident. Sheriff’s Deputies along with personnel from North Bay Fire Department and Bay Cities Ambulance arrived on scene and located the vehicle, a 1989 Chevy pickup about 20 feet off the road and down an embankment. The driver and two passengers were already out of the vehicle. Emergency personnel had to assist in getting the other two passengers out of the vehicle. One female passenger had to be transported by ambulance to Bay Area Hospital for minor injuries. Deputies noted the driver appeared to be under the influence of alcohol while speaking with him. Deputies had the driver perform standardized field sobriety tests. At the conclusion of the tests, the driver, Dillon Crabb 24 years old of North Bend, was placed under arrest for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants. Deputies processed Crabb at the North Bend Police Department and his Blood Alcohol Content was .21% Crabb was also cited for Driving While Suspended and Driving Uninsured.
