North Bend will play for the OSAA 4A prep football state championship Nov. 26 at Hillsboro Stadium, 2:30 p.m., against unbeaten Cottage Grove. The top-ranked and unbeaten Bulldogs advanced to the finals following a 49-26 semi-final win Saturday evening at Cottage Grove High School over Estacada. It was the third of three semi-finals at Don King Field. Salem Academy bettered Blanchet Catholic 33-26 in the opener, while Coquille fell 28-22 to Harrisburg in the second game. That sets up a 3A final between Salem Academy and Harrisburg also at Hillsboro Stadium, 11 a.m. Cottage Grove advanced to the finals to meet the Bulldogs with a 48-20 win over defending state champion Cascade last Saturday night at Hillsboro Stadium. The third championship game at Hillsboro Stadium that day will feature Dallas and Lebanon for the 5A title. The 2A (Stanfield & Regis) and 1A (Dufur & Crane) championship games will be played at Hermiston in north eastern Oregon this Saturday as well.
