North Bend’s girls play at Henley today, south of Klamath Falls, in the First Round of the OSAA State 4A Soccer playoffs. The Bulldogs and Hornets play at 3:30 p.m.

Marshfield’s football team finished second in the Far West League this season, and some of the players were recognized as All League players following voting by the coaches. Senior Lance Grigsby was voted Co-Defensive Player of the Year along with North Bend’s Drew Matthews. Junior Cory Shaffer was named First Team Center; junior Matt McAllister First Team Running Back; senior Allen Engstrom First Team Offensive Line; Chris Alonzo First Team Defensive Line, and senior Andrew Sharp First Team Defensive Back. Senior Hunter Olson was named Second Team Tight End; Junior Justin Cooper Second Team Receiver; Junior Vincent Tine Second Team Receiver; junior Rylee Trendell Second Team Running Back and Second Team Defensive Line; junior Ben Martin Second Team Defensive Back. Sophomores T.K. Capps and Garrett McCarthy were recognized as Honorable Mention Offensive Linemen.
