North Bend Police Report, Nov. 18

MIP-Alcohol
A 12-year old male was released to his mother Friday night, Nov. 15, after he was caught allegedly “stealing mail from mailboxes,” on the 2100 block of Harrison Ave. According to an entry on the North Bend Police log for 9:01 p.m., “RP reports juveniles stealing mail from mailboxes, husband confronted one of the juveniles and told him to put the mail back. Other suspect fled on foot. Juvenile released to mother, will be referred for MIP-Alcohol.

DUII
According to an entry on the North Bend Police log for Friday, Nov. 15, 5:31 p.m., 2100 block Lombard St., 22-year old Melissa D. Barr, Coos Bay charged with DUII (BAC .20%), also cited for Careless Driving and will be referred for Reckless Endangering. “Driver transported to CCJ. Female juvenile passenger was released to the custody of her brother. She is going to be referred to the Juvenile Department for charge/MIP Alcohol.”

Shoplifter
According to an entry on the North Bend Police log for Friday, Nov. 15, 3:03 p.m., 1611 Virginia Ave. “Loss Prevention reports they have a female shoplifter in custody at Macy’s.” Forty-year old Misty C. Werner, Coos Bay, cited in lieu of custody for Theft II. “Loss value $401.”

Theft
According to an entry on the North Bend Police log for Friday, Nov. 15, 11:57 a.m., 2100 block Newmark St., “RP reports 2 males just stole an ax and a knife set and fled on foot towards Coos Bay. Both subjects were bald with black hats on. Both carrying ‘Sizzler’ aprons in their hands.” Thirty-one year old Kevin S. Torres Berning, Coos Bay, charged with Theft II, Escape, Interfering and Disorderly Conduct. Thirty-eight year old Scott R. Denardo, Coos Bay, charged with PCS Meth, Theft III and Theft by Receiving. Both were transported to the Coos Co. Jail at Coquille.

Probation Violation
According to an entry on the North Bend Police log for Saturday, Nov. 16, 6:46 p.m., Virginia & Marion avenues, “casual contact,” 33-year old Jeffery McGehee, Coquille, taken into custody for Probation Violation, warned for PCS Less than an Oz. Marijuana, and Disorderly Conduct. He was transported to the Coos Co. Jail at Coquille.

Probation Violation
According to an entry on the North Bend Police log for Saturday, Nov. 16, 2:20 p.m., 2400 block Broadway Ave., “RP request welfare check at location for a female tenant after hearing a male subject banging around and yelling loudly.” Twenty-nine year old Cameron Wesley Nightingale, Coos Bay, arrested on charge of Probation Violation and transported to the Coos Co. Jail at Coquille.
