North Lane Co. Homicide, March 24

Lane Co. SO release – March 23, 11:16 a.m. The Lane County Sheriff’s Office is currently on-scene at a property on Hall Road in northern Lane County following a call regarding a deceased male. There is an active search for suspect Travis Crum. Crum is a 52-year-old white male who stands about 6 feet tall, medium build with short gray hair. He may be wearing glasses, a red jacket and brown pants. Residents in the area have been asked to shelter in place while law enforcement officers continue their search. Drivers should not stop to pick up any hitchhikers in the area or along Highway 36. 11:01 p.m. Update: Homicide suspect Travis Crum is now in custody following a day-long search in northern Lane County. The Sheriff’s Office is still working to locate the van. If you see a 2004 Dodge Caravan that is dark gold in color with Oregon license plate 975 ESN, please call 541-682-4150. The van has blue painter’s tape on the windshield. The shelter-in-place warning for Hall Road-area residents was lifted earlier this evening.
