The Coos County Friends of Public Health is holding its 11th annual fundraising event—a virtual raffle for two designer purses and two activity bags. The money raised from ticket sales and donations goes to the Nurses’ Purse, a special fund used by public health nurses at Coos Health & Wellness, to help families who are financially disadvantaged and in need. The Nurses’ Purse fund provides assistance with food, clothing, medical care, and infant supplies, and has provided a helping hand to families who have faced overwhelming challenges. Tickets for the raffle can be purchased for $20 each with 20 chances to win a purse or activity bag. See the organization’s website at www.ccfoph.org through October 26th.
