Several South Coast coaches were recently honored as 2021-2022 Coaches of the Year during the 36th annual Oregon Athletic Coaches Association (OACA) end of the year banquet at the University of Oregon’s Autzen Stadium Club Level Facility in Eugene. Among the award winners was a near sweep by South Coast football coaches. Award winners: Chris Johnson, Siuslaw, 4A Cross Country; Brent Hutton, Bandon, 3A-1A Cross Country; John Lemmons, Marshfield, 4A Football; Sam Johnson, Siuslaw, 3A Football; David Thomason, Coquille, 2A Football.
