– The Oregon Army National Guard held a mobilization ceremony Saturday, Sept. 28 in Portland, at the Oregon Convention Center, for Soldiers from both 2nd Battalion, 218th Field Artillery (Forest Grove), and Company A, 141st Brigade Support Battalion (Clackamas) as they prepare to depart to Qatar. Known as Task Force Arrow, the group of more than 450 Soldiers is one of several units that the Oregon Army National Guard’s 41st Infantry Brigade Combat Team is scheduled to deploy this fall and winter. In all, the 41st is scheduled to deploy more than 1,400 service members to five different countries: Djibouti, Jordan, Kosovo, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates.
