Trophy trout for fall fishing – Fall stocking continues with several lakes and ponds getting trophy size trout. Combine this with cooler fall temperatures and you’ve got a recipe for some great fishing. Check out the zone reports for specific locations. Cascade elk season Oct. 18-24 – Rainy cooler weather is predicted for the start of elk season which will improve hunting conditions. Remember to get your tag by Friday, Oct. 17. Adult steelhead fishing workshop Nov. 8 – Join the NW Steelheaders and ODFW to learn where to find and how to catch these elusive fish. The focus will be on three popular bank fishing techniques. Registration is $52 per person and includes instruction, program materials and the use of ODFW equipment.
