Oregon 42 will be closed at Lookingglass Creek Bridge in Winston for three weeks, June 13

ODOT release – WINSTON – The Lower Lookingglass Creek Bridge, located on Oregon 42 near Douglas High School in Winston, is scheduled to be closed from Thursday morning, June 13, to Wednesday, July 3, for repairs. During the three-week closure, Oregon 42 traffic will detour through Dillard along Brockway Road and Old Highway 99. The 3½-mile detour will add about five minutes in travel time for motorists. The closure will allow prime contractor Oregon State Bridge Construction to resurface and strengthen the bridge by pouring four inches of concrete on top of the deck. Due to the narrow deck, there is not enough room to perform the work while allowing traffic to cross the bridge. After the bridge re-opens, motorists can expect intermittent lane closure with flaggers. The $712,000 project will also repair damaged concrete, replace the rails and make other improvements. All work is scheduled to be completed by August 30.
