Following Oregon Governor Kate Brown’s declaration to “Stay at Home” order, coastal communities are closing up. Oregon State Parks & Recreation Dept. has closed all coastal State Parks and Beaches. From Brookings to Astoria, stores and communities have shut down because of the COVID-19 virus. The order follows an influx of tourists to the North Oregon Coast last weekend, despite pleas from health officials to stay home. Many coastal residents feel the visitors are putting them at risk. There has been two confirmed cases on the Coast. One in Clatsop County and the other is in Lincoln Co.
