By: Cassie Bouska, OSU Extension Agent; Cassie.bouska@oregonstate.edu Are you interested in organic production, but don’t know how to get started? Join us March 5th, 2016 at 9am at the Bandon Library where we will meet with representatives from Oregon Tilth and OSU Extension to explore the organic certification and production process. We will begin the morning with a meet and greet between cranberry producers and potential handlers and marketers. Drew Katz, of Oregon Tilth, will talk us through organic certification, the transition process, and the required recordkeeping. Cassie Bouska will then lead a discussion on organic pest and weed control in cranberries. Join us in this opportunity to build relationships, share ideas, and shape our strategies for moving forward in organic cranberry production in Oregon. If you are interested in attending, please RSVP by Thursday, March 3 at 5pm to Cassie Bouska: 541-572-5263 ext 25290 or cassie.bouska@oregonstate.edu
